Effective, Easy to Apply, Ready to Work

At Dr Forest we deliver increased product performance at a cost effective price. Our Humic is a dry, mostly soluble humic product derived from agricultural grade, raw (non-soluble) humates. Our mother source is estimated to be 45 million years old. Dissolving this ancient material using typical extraction methods such as high heat, denatures and reduces efficacy. Instead, my supplier developed a dry to dry conversion method for creating Dr Forest’s humic acid without the aid of heat, resulting in a product that has superior performance in the field. Unlike raw humic substances, our product is concentrated, easy to blend, cost effective to ship and readily available for today’s crops. In it’s dry form our humic acid is stable indefinitely. Liquid humic acids degrade.

 Location, Location, Location

Humic substances vary greatly in source, concentration and quality. The best sources for agriculture are formed in the presence of fresh water where large-leafed plants grew during the cretaceous period. Most deposits around the world, including Leonardite, were formed in salt water where grasses grew during the older carboniferous period. This older material is more closely related to coal and oxidized slack lignite and very low in the bio-stimulating fraction. There are few working deposits that have both desirable attributes; fresh water formation an protected from weathering and oxidation.  Dr Forest uses premium humic substances, formed in fresh water, that have een protected rom cracking and uplift. They are high in all important fractions. Even in a singe formation, deposits a few miles apart can have significantly different qualities. Due to the large degree of differences in souce materals it’s important to work with specialists who understand and know what to look and test for.

 Instructions for Use

SEED SOAK:  1/4 tsp per gallon; soak tomato seeds 72 hrs, cabbage & squash 48 hrs, potatoes 12 hrs, and most other vegetable seeds 24 hrs before planting.  Water seedlings at transplanting with same rate.

CONTAINER GARDENING USE:  1/8 - 1/4 tsp per gallon every watering

HYDROPONICS:  1/8 - 1/4 tsp per gallon of nutrient solution used in reservoir (use with every reservoir change; top-offs can be charged with half to quarter normal rate).

BEDS / LAWNS (BROADCAST):  1-3 ounces per 1000 square feet applied every 2-6 weeks during growing season.

1/4 tsp -1 gm     1/2 tsp - 2 gm NOTE: Insoluble  sediment can be composted, used on landscape or in a soil mix. Does not replace fertilizer. Use with fully formulated nutrient(s). Exceeding application rates can cause irregular growth such as twisted leaves.

Why add Humic Acid to my fertiliser program?

Dr Forest’s Humic Acid is a premium, agricultural grade humic substance, sourced specifically for the grower market (i.e not low grade overburden from coal like many other products).

According to the state of Californa and Oregan it “may increase micronutrient uptake”.

How does Humic Acid effect soil biology?

Humic acid adds carbon. Carbon is not ony essential for balancing the carbon to nirgoen ratio, but is also invaluable for maintaining an optimum microbial community. It may been demonstrated that humic in Ful-Humix STIMULATE BENEFICIAL SOIL BACTERIA AND FUNGAL BIOMASS ACTIVITY.

Is Dr Forests Humic Acid soluble and readily available?

Dr Forest’s Humic Acid is 85% water soluble. Unlike raw or “suspendable” humate, which can take many years to break down, it’s readily available, and concentrated. Because of a unique manufacturing method that improves product efficacy, approximately 15% is insoluble humin and mineral. If using a spraer, and concerned with clogging, settle this portion out and add it to your outside garden soil separately.

Is Dr Forests Humic Acid for use in organic farming?

It is OMRI and OIM listed. The parent materials are sourced from within the United States.

Does Ful-Humix expire or go bad?

In dry form our Humic has no expiration date unlike most liquid humic products.

Supercharge your compost teas/ extracts.

Using to add humic acids to soil drenches, in autumn and winter.
Also use in spring and summer to add fulvic acids, using the same product.
Great stuff, with unlimited shelf life, that will add soil organic matter to the soils.
