UK-Sourced Bio-Char: A Sustainable Soil Enhancer

We recommend activating before use. If you do not do this it can actually reduce the nutrient and microbe levels in the soil. This is because a large surface area has been added to the soil without any additional nutrients or microbes.  You want the biochar to be pre-innoculated with nutrients and microbes. This video shows you 5 ways to activate your biochar.

Our bio-char is produced in the  UK, using a controlled pyrolysis process that transforms waste biomass into a highly beneficial soil amendment. This natural, carbon-rich material is created by heating biomass (such as wood or agricultural waste) in the absence of oxygen, resulting in a stable, dark residue that is rich in nutrients and microorganisms.

Benefits for Your Soil and Environment

Our UK-sourced bio-char is an excellent way to improve soil structure, fertility, and biodiversity, while also supporting sustainable agriculture and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By adding bio-char to your soil, you can:

  • Increase soil water retention and aeration, reducing the need for irrigation and fertilisers
  • Provide a habitat for beneficial microorganisms, promoting a balanced ecosystem
  • Raise soil pH and cation exchange capacity, reducing acidic soil conditions
  • Sequester carbon and reduce soil erosion, supporting long-term soil health
  • Enhance plant growth and crop yields, reducing the need for synthetic fertilisers
  • Our Production Process
  • Our bio-char is produced in a state-of-the-art facility in the UK, using a carefully controlled pyrolysis process that ensures a consistent, high-quality product. We source our biomass locally, minimising transportation emissions and supporting the local economy. Our bio-char is then carefully harvested, processed, and packaged to ensure maximum quality and shelf life.
